Raised in Hayes, KS by two well respected working artists, (Sheldon and Linda Ganstrom) Landen was taught early in life to appreciate self expression and hard work. Gravitating toward the culinary arts at a young age he entered culinary school at 18. Landen holds a degree in Culinary Arts and Applied Sciences and completed the Chef’s Apprenticeship Program in Kansas City. While still in school in Kansas City he immediately stepped into a real working kitchen under Andre Yusef, Executive Chef, at Argosy Casino. He was able put into practice the theory and skills he was learning in the formal program which make it easy to understand why he was one of the top five graduates from his culinary program.

While life brought him away from home to Rhode Island he was fortunate to enter the rich culinary world of Master Chef Hieko Bendixen of Foxwoods. His professional experience has ranged from large kitchens at casinos in New England to the more intimate wine and tapas bars on the beach. Currently the executive chef at Crave Kitchen and Cocktails, Chef Ganstrom has been responsible for the development of over 9 menus for the restaurant and bar where his focus has been fusion style gourmet that is still comfortable and exciting to both the locals and tourists that frequent the restaurant.
